Support SafeMinds

How You Can Help

As the only nonprofit organization founded to investigate and raise awareness of the risk to infants and children from exposure to mercury from medical products, including thimerosal in vaccines, Safe Minds is working hard to end the health and personal devastation caused by the needless use of mercury in medicine. But this work will not be possible without the dedicated support of our members and partners.

The truth of today must be explored to finally achieve a full understanding of this tragedy. The hope of tomorrow will only come through accomplishing life-changing research. By partnering with world-renowned experts in clinical and research settings, Safe Minds looks to fund several critical investigations into the harmful effects of mercury and thimerosal, and support treatment research for thimerosal induced injury... but we cannot do this without your help.

There are a number of ways that you can join Safe Minds in its fight to support the research efforts necessary to bring to light the truth about this menace and to work to rid it before any more children are harmed.

Volunteer for SafeMinds

Are You Ready to Do Something to Help the Cause?

SafeMinds is currently looking for volunteers to help out with a variety of tasks. Are you interested in serving on an event committee? We are looking for people in Atlanta, Southern California and the Boston area to help plan and support 2007 fundraising events in these areas. We are also looking for people who would like to help staff booths at local and national autism conferences. Do you have another talent you think we can use? Please let us know if you are interested in helping by e-mailing eksafeminds@gmail.com.

Conduct a letter writing campaign
Sending letters to friends, families and colleagues is the most common way to raise funds. It is an informative and non-intrusive to your donors. Ideally it is very personal. Tell your story and people will respond. Not only will your friends and family appreciate hearing about what is important to you - they will be proud to be given the chance to help. For tips on conducting your letter writing campaign, click here.

Hold a Third-Party Event for SafeMinds
A third party event is one that is conceived and created completely by volunteers to benefit SafeMinds. From hosting a dinner party, to organizing a golf tournament, holding a bake sale or car wash, there are countless things you can do to benefit SafeMinds. Click here for criteria and other information, or just contact Elizabeth Kilpatrick at eksafeminds@gmail.com to discuss your ideas.
